Corporate Girl

"Hi my name is Diana Martinez, and I work in finance sales.

Now, you might be wondering how a finance girl goes from daily financial presentations, banking

accounts, and financial education to visual design, color pallets, and owning a creative business.

The truth is...

I was always here. Life has a way of switching things up for you when you least expect it but knows you're ready. My daily life was spent in financial sales, which I adored. When your team is led by a great manager, everything just seems to work out. I didn't just climb the corporate ladder. I've held a variety of professions, including McDonald's, hostess at both casual and upscale dining establishments in the city, behavioral therapist for kids with autism, office manager at a brokerage company to over night packaging at Mariano's and helping run a construction company. As you can see, I have been around the block... However, I have also learned a lot and have had a lot of client interaction; sadly, I was never able

to incorporate my creative side—until the universe took away all of my financial security and pushed me to meet my higher self.

"Hey it's the universe, are you ready?"

My life literally took a turn overnight. After being required to take a unpaid leave of absence, February 21, 2023 was the last day I worked in corporate with no certainty on my return. Was I scared? No, it was strange because I felt a sense of calmness, a sense of welcoming a new world. I did not know what the next day held for me or my daughter but I knew everything was going to be ok. I knew it was the moment I needed to find my purpose in life. I have always been a workaholic juggling 2-3 jobs but I was finally being forced to relax and focus on who I was, who I am and who I am becoming.
